A Sweet Family Session with Baby N and Big Sister M
This week in the studio, I had the absolute joy of welcoming back a beautiful family I first met a few years ago — and it felt like the sweetest kind of déjà vu. Baby N, just five months old and full of smiles, came in for her baby photography session — and as soon as I saw her, I couldn’t help but think, I’ve photographed this face before!
That’s because a few years back, I photographed her big sister M when she was a baby — and the resemblance between the two girls is truly amazing. The same sparkling eyes, the same soft round cheeks, and that unmistakable little grin that lights up the room. It’s always such a special honour to capture sibling portraits and see how families grow over the years.
Baby N’s milestone session was full of laughter and sweetness. At five months old, she was the perfect mix of curious and cuddly — smiling at every funny sound and lighting up when her big sister came close. M has grown into such a loving and gentle sister, and watching her snuggle N was such a heart-warming moment to photograph.
From soft neutral backdrops to timeless family poses, this studio family photography session captured everything I love about photographing growing families — connection, joy, and all those fleeting, beautiful expressions that change so quickly in the first year.
Seeing families return year after year, and watching these little ones grow, is one of the greatest joys of being a family photographer. These images will be cherished reminders of how quickly this season passes and how precious it is to preserve it through timeless portraits.
