From Newborn to One: Baby C’s Cake Smash 🎂🫧
There’s something extra special about welcoming a little one back into my studio, especially when I first met them as a tiny newborn.
I photographed Baby C when she was just a few weeks old, so it was such a lovely feeling to see her again for her cake smash session and see just how much she’s grown! 💕
For her session, we went for a soft, dreamy pastel setup, with plenty of pretty details and lots of opportunities for play. Baby C was full of personality and gave me some absolutely adorable expressions throughout — including her wonderfully serious face when it was time to investigate the cake!
She certainly didn’t hang around for long before getting stuck in, with a few enthusiastic handfuls and plenty of very important cake inspection going on. 🎂😂
But the cake was only part of the fun. We also had some lovely playtime with toys, capturing those sweet little moments of curiosity and interaction. I love including these extra elements in a cake smash session because it gives us the chance to capture more of who they are at this age.
And then came the bubbles! 🫧🛁
We finished the session with a gorgeous little bubble bath, which gave us some of the cutest images. Baby C looked right at home surrounded by all those fluffy bubbles, and it was the perfect way to finish such a fun session.
It really was so lovely seeing Baby C again and getting to capture another special stage in her first year. From those tiny newborn photographs to a pastel-filled cake smash, it’s amazing how quickly they grow!
And that seriously adorable little face? Absolutely priceless. 💕
