Baby L’s Pretty Pink, Lilac & Gold First Birthday Session

Baby L came to me to celebrate her very special first birthday, and we created the prettiest session using a beautiful palette of soft pink, lilac and gold. 💕✨

There’s something extra special about photographing a little one at this age. They’re changing so quickly, their little personalities are really beginning to shine, and every expression tells its own story.

Baby L’s session was full of those sweet little moments that make photographing this milestone so special. She was happiest when she was surrounded by plenty of reassurance and, as the session went on, we found the things that really brought out her personality.

One of those was bubbles — and she absolutely loved them!

It was lovely to see her become more relaxed and engaged as she played, giving us some gorgeous natural expressions and little moments of joy to capture. Sometimes the simplest things are the ones that create the most beautiful photographs.

I always think the best milestone sessions are the ones where we can follow a little one’s lead. There’s no need to rush or expect them to behave in a certain way. Instead, we take our time, have fun and capture them just as they are.

And that’s exactly what made Baby L’s session so lovely.

Her beautiful pink, lilac and gold colours gave us a gorgeous setting, while her little expressions and personality made the photographs completely her own.

First birthdays only come around once, and although the photographs will remind you of how tiny they were, it’s those little details — their expressions, their smiles, the things they loved and the way they were at that moment in time — that will bring the memories flooding back.
